Seconds Count wins the Pattern Race again!

Congratulations to Seconds Count skipper Dan O’Donovan, crew Niall King and Maurice O’Sullivan on retaining the Power Cup. Second was Bluff helmed by Alex Ballot and third was Meru crewed by the Brazel Family.
Also participating were Fairways helmed by Kieran Donnelly, Judith helmed by Charlie Chavasse and Lone Star helmed by John Maloney.

DHSC Junior selected for ISA Junior Boys and Girls Championship

August 11, 2009

DHSC Junior Sailor James Quealy has been chosen to represent the Topaz Class in the Irish Sailing Association Junior Championship. The Championships will be held in the Royal Cork Yacht Club on the 26th and 27th September. James will be competing agains helms representing the Optimist, 420, Laser, Topper and RS Feva Classes.
Well done James and we wish you the very best.


Best Wishes to John Flynn in Helsinki

Club Junior Member John Flynn is currently representing Ireland in the European Laser 4.7 Laser Championships from August 7th to 14th. John is part of a 7 member Irish Team competing with 150 other sailors from 27 countries.
It is a great honour for the club to have one of our sailors competing at this level and we wish him the very best.


DHSC Juniors success in Dunmore East Regatta

Congratulaions to Jane O’Quiqley and Sarah Sheehan (Best Visiting Boat PY Fleet) and To Katherine Geoghaghan (3rd Optimists) for their success in Waterford Harbour Sailing Clubs Open Regatta on 3rd August. 11 boats from DHSC competed in very challenging conditions. Well done to all.
